GCSE & A Level Exam Results
A Level Results - Thursday 14 August 2025
Staff and students from Rosebery School, in Epsom, are today celebrating achieving their best ever results at Key Stage 5, with A Level attainment, vocational outcomes and student achievement topping the previous highs, achieved last year.
- At A Level, 36% of entries were graded as A or A, 70% of entries were awarded a grade between A* and B, with 88% of entries graded A* to C
Given the comprehensive nature of Rosebery Sixth Form, these results are all the more remarkable, and early analysis suggests that student progress is also incredibly strong across the board - which includes the average vocational entry being graded as a Distinction.
Whilst all the Rosebery students can be incredibly proud of their accomplishments, special mention goes to Sadie Smith, Bethany Hatton, and Raadhika Wenham who each achieved A* across the board!
Sadie Smith
Maths (A*) Further Maths (A*) Physics (A*) Chemistry (A*) - will be studying Mathematics at Durham University.
Bethany Hatton
Biology (A*) Chemistry (A*) Maths (A*) - will be studying Biochemistry at the University of Warwick.

Other top performers included Jessica Sheehy, Dasha Botha, Lily Browning, Stacey Boamah, Kate Blackall and Esther Scott who all achieved 2 A*s, and special mention to Issy Carter who achieved a Distinction* in both of her vocational qualifications.
David Lach, Headteacher, said: “We are delighted to be celebrating Rosebery Girls achieving truly remarkable outcomes today and securing places at their chosen university or apprenticeships.
Staff at Rosebery have once again gone above and beyond - providing an exceptional educational experience for our Sixth Form Students, during an incredibly tragic and difficult academic year for the entire Rosebery School Community.
But most importantly special mention to all our students - our ‘Class of 2025’ have shown remarkable resilience, determination, and talent. They leave us not only with academic accomplishments to be proud of, but as empowered, confident young women ready to make their mark on the world. There is no glass ceiling for a Rosebery Girl — and we cannot wait to see and hear about what they go on to achieve. #RoseberyProud”

Rosebery girls were awarded 128 Grade 9s in Maths and Science alone!
Remarkably, 91% of students achieved a Grade 4 or higher in both English and Maths, with over 80% of students achieving a Grade 5 or better in both subjects.

Along with the exceptional A Level results the school celebrated last week, 2025 has proved to be a record-breaking year at Rosebery, where the average GCSE Grade is now 6.4 with an Attainment 8 Score of 64.
Had there been Progress measures this year, the Class of 2025 would comfortably have been in the top 5% of schools nationally based on these record results at GCSE.
Headteacher, David Lach, said: “We are delighted to be celebrating Rosebery Girls achieving truly remarkable GCSE outcomes today. The Class of 2025 should be incredibly proud. These record-breaking results are even more special, given the incredibly tragic and difficult academic year it has been for the entire Rosebery School community. I must also praise all the staff at Rosebery, who have once again gone above and beyond to ensure that these results were possible, and that our girls received the very best care and support - #RoseberyProud.”
Former Head of Year 11, Lauren Newman said: "We are so proud of the fantastic results that this year group have achieved. From when they started in Year 7, mid-pandemic, to now, these students have shown their incredible resilience and determination. While many are now looking ahead, they should never forget what a feat of endurance the GCSE exams are. The Year 11 Team would like to thank the teachers and families that have supported them every step of the way and once again congratulate Year 11 for pulling it out of the bag. We wish them a wonderful rest of the summer, and we are delighted that so many of them will be back for the Sixth Form!"
Head of Upper School, Ric Styles said: "Another remarkable and joyful Rosebery Results Day! Our girls' determined and courageous approach to their studies has once again led to outstanding achievements."
