Inspectors visited Rosebery School between 3 and 5 May 2017 and judged the school as outstanding in every category.
The report highlights the ‘highly distinctive culture and ethos’ and the ‘warm and nurturing climate which enables all pupils to feel safe and to flourish.

- ‘Leaders demonstrate uncompromising ambition for all pupils in the school…… they are relentless in ensuring every pupil makes exceptional progress, in particular the most able, disadvantaged pupils and those who have special educational needs and/or disabilities.’
- ‘Pupils achieve exceptionally strong outcomes in all year groups and in all subjects as a result of consistently inspirational teaching.’
- ‘Teachers have very high expectations of their pupils and provide them with sustained levels of stretch and challenge.’
- ‘Pupils model the values enshrined in ‘The Rosebery Way’ in an exemplary fashion. They are ambitious for their own futures and display excellent attitudes to their learning.’
- ‘Pupils are immensely proud of their work and talk with genuine passion about their learning……. they willingly accept responsibility for their own learning and progress, and constantly seek to improve, both in their lessons and in the many extra-curricular activities they undertake.’
- ‘Pupils benefit from an exceptionally rich extra-curricular offer of lunchtime and after-school clubs.’
- ‘Students in the sixth form play a leading role in the life of the school and are exceptionally well prepared for their next steps.’
