Student Leadership Award

Student Leadership

At Rosebery we believe that students should all experience the challenge of leadership, knowing that this will prepare them well for the rest of their school career and beyond. As such we offer a range of opportunities in and out of the classroom to take responsibility, to generate ideas, to influence others and to effect change. We shape our leadership experiences around the following attributes:

Model the Way Model the highest standards you expect from others. Respect others’ values. Do it yourself, set an example.
Inspire a Shared Vision Create a vision and dream of what could be. Find out what motivates others so you can accomplish things together.
Challenge the Process A personal best does not come from keeping things the same. Tackle challenging problems in new ways.
Enable Others Leadership is about a team effort. Build trust and relationships. Believe in the potential of others and the power of collaboration.
Encourage the Heart Listen to others and act on it. Show appreciation for peoples contributions, celebrate the victories and values of your community.

Student Leadership Award

Rosebery Student Leadership Award: We have four leadership awards for students to complete and these also relate to the areas of improvement for the school. We have the learner, environment, wellbeing and community award.  Students are welcome to complete the awards in any year group. Students work through a booklet to record evidence of a range of activities that develop their leaderships skills in an area of school improvement that they are most interested in.
