Welcome to Rosebery School, a highly successful and popular comprehensive school for girls aged 11-18. Named in the top 100 performing schools for the second year running, Rosebery is highly regarded not only for its tradition of academic achievement, but also for its nurturing environment which emphasises the development of articulate, independent young women who contribute significantly to their community.
We are delighted to announce that Rosebery students have excelled at both A Level and GCSE this year. At A2, 65% of grades achieved were at A*-B with 32% at A*/A, our highest figures for A* ever. 99% of our grades were at A*-E. 14 students at A2 achieved all A/A*s and all students were able to secure places at university, including three students who have won places at Oxford and Cambridge.
At GCSE we have achieved our best ever GCSE results with 87% of our students achieving 5A*- C including English and Maths. This is 2% higher than last year. 94% of students achieved a C or higher in English and 92% in Maths and 16 subjects achieved 90 +% A*- C. 23 students achieved all A*/A grades with a further 13 students gaining at least 10 A*/A grades. 4 girls achieved A*s in every single one of their subjects.
These results are a testament to the hard work put in by all students who richly deserve their success, and to the commitment, dedication and support of teachers and parents who should be very proud of the girls’ achievements. We look forward to seeing many of our Yr 11s back to start the Sixth Form at enrolment on Wednesday 3rd September.
Making music to the highest standards is a long and distinguished tradition at Rosebery and is an integral part of life at our School. Rosebery admits up to 10 students per year based on musical aptitude and these students are expected to commit to the musical life of the School. Read more for Concert and Festival announcements ...
One of Rosebery’s key priorities is to equip our students with the knowledge, skills, and attributes they need to become successful learners and independent thinkers in the ever changing 21st Century. Our aim is to ensure that they leave us with the abilities and dispositions they need to meet the challenges of the future.
