‘All you do is a reflection of the standards you set yourself…..Dream more, learn more, do more’
Head of Year – Mr R Harvey
Deputy Head of Year – Miss V Nejad
Year 10 marks the beginning of GCSE studies and the two year journey that your daughters are set to embark on. It is an important year academically with a number of controlled assessments and early entry GCSE exams for some girls in Statistics. This year is about hard work, determination and students achieving their full potential. The year group ethos this year is ‘YOU CAN DO IT’.
Students should be looking to go above and beyond both inside and outside of the classroom. With this in mind there are a wide range of extracurricular opportunities available. Within school, girls work with younger pupils as ‘peer supporters’, and can take on extra responsibilities in the school council (Junior Leadership Team) and House Council. The Leadership Award is available to Year 10 students (Bronze, Silver & Gold). There are sports teams to join and many of the girls take part in the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme. As well as an after school theatre trip there is a full activities week programme including a community project.
