Our initiative, Parents as Partners has 2 aspects; a Parent Council and a number of attached working groups.
Enable parents to meet and feedback from the working group.
Develop a partnership between the school and our parents.
Be a mechanism for consultation on a number of whole-school issues.
Improve communication between parents and the school. We will invite each member of the Parent Council to be a member of one working group. These comprise:
The Business and Enterprise group
To support the development of links between the business community and the school.
To exploit the skills, experience and talents of parents and the wider business community to support careers advice and guidance.
To manage the fundraising projects which are so crucial to the school’s finances.
The PSA will operate under this group.
The Alumnae Group
To engage former students in the current work of the school.
To encourage alumnae to contribute to the development and enhanced experience of our current students.
To engender pride among our current students in the great tradition of Rosebery.
The Communication Group
To support the creation of open, clear and accessible channels of communication between the school and all members of the school community.
The Environment Group
To support the development and improvement of the school environment.
To secure the support of parents, students and other stakeholders in contributing to creating sustainable, and attractive areas of the school.
To promote eco-related learning and projects which encourage recycling and conservation. Each working group will meet once a term and the Parent Council will also meet on a termly basis. Each group will also have a member of Rosebery staff attached to it.
