Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG)
It is vital that students learn the skills required in an ever changing global society to manage their learning, career, to sustain employability and achieve personal and economic wellbeing and success throughout their lives. CEIAG focuses on three main areas as set out in the Career Development Institute Framework for careers, employability and enterprise education 2015.
1) Developing yourself through careers, employability and enterprise education
2) Learning about careers and the world of work
3) Developing your career management, employability and enterprise skills.
CEIAG is delivered in school through the Personal Social Health Education (PSHE) programme and the Tutorial Programme in 6th Form as part of the timetabled curriculum alongside a variety of careers events, talks and activities including work experience throughout the year engaging with local businesses and employers to help raise awareness of employability skills.
