We would like to welcome all students who will be joining Rosebery School in September. Initial welcome letters have now been sent out. New Parents’ Information Evening (for parents/carers only)
This will be held on Monday 20 May from 6.00pm to 7.00pm in the School Hall.
We look forward to seeing all our new Year 7’s on transition day on Tuesday 2 July. The day will start at 9.00am and finishes at 2.45pm. Students are asked to wear their current uniform, bring a packed lunch and a pencil case. Parents can either drop and collect at the main gate or students can be independent and make their own way to and from the school. Please bear in mind if you are dropping your child, could we ask that you don’t come down Whitehorse Drive by car as it gets very congested.
Summer School will be held on Thursday 25 July and Friday 26 July 2019 and the cost will be £70. Payment for this will be through ParentPay. More details will be sent out nearer the time.
First Day of Academic Year 2019 – 2020
Your child will be met at Reception on Thursday 5 September by members of staff and students and will then be directed to the Hall for the Welcome Assembly. Your child will be with their tutor group in the morning and will be given their planner and timetable. If you have consented, your child will also have their biometric print taken to be used in the Canteen. Lessons will start Period 5. Students will not need their PE kit on 5 September.
You will receive your ParentPay activation letter at the Information Evening on Monday 20 May. You will then be able to add money to your child’s Canteen account. The payment is called ‘Rosebery School – School Meals’. If you have any problems activating your account please let me know.
Please remember to make the payment on ParentPay if you would like your child to have a locker. Payment can be made in September but we will not be able to guarantee that a locker will be available on the first day of term if payment is not made before September.
Year 7 Picnic
The Parent Staff Association (PSA) are once again hosting the annual Year 7 Picnic on Saturday 14 September (tbc) from 12.00pm to 2.00pm. This is a great opportunity to meet fellow parents for a chat over tea and cake, and for the students to get to know each other better over a game of hoopla! The PSA are a valued part of our community raising much needed funds for the school and the Picnic is the ideal opportunity to find out more about the PSA in an informal way.
Year 7 Parent Information Evenings
The Year 7 Parents Information Evening will be held in September and there will also be an opportunity to meet your child’s tutor at the beginning of the term. More details of these two meetings will follow in September.
